TMR Magnetic Switch

A TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistance) bridge integrated with an ASIC on a single chip achieves position detection based on changes in impedance due to variations in magnetic field strength and angle. By pairing with a magnet, it enables non-contact position sensing.

Compared to Hall sensors, TMR sensors offer higher precision (hysteresis can be less than 3 Gauss), sensitivity to parallel magnetic fields, and 360° two-dimensional sensing achieved through differently oriented TMR bridges. These features make them ideal for applications requiring accurate angle detection and low-power, high-frequency sensing.
